Westinghouse Condensing Gas/Electric Packaged Unit Named Dealer Design Award Recipient
R8HE gas pack is a Silver Award winner.
St. Louis, July 21, 2014 — The Westinghouse heating and air conditioning 14 SEER, 95% AFUE R8HE has been awarded a Silver Award in the 11th Annual Dealer Design Awards by The Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration News magazine. This particular model was recognized for product design in the HVAC High-Efficiency Residential Equipment category.
“These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issues gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions,” says Mike Murphy, ACHR News publisher.
The R8HE gas/electric packaged system offers exceptionally high levels of heating efficiency due to condensing operation. When furnaces go beyond certain efficiency levels, condensate forms. With the R8HE, this condensate is pumped below the frost line, eliminating the concern that the condensate will freeze (a big concern with gas/electric packaged units).
Equipment recognized as Dealer Design Award winners were selected from 92 total product entries by a panel of independent contractors and were featured in the July 21, 2014, issue of The ACHR News magazine. This magazine publication is distributed nationally to over 33,000 HVACR professionals.
